isn't it an irony..people who assassinated Gandhi were hanged.. may be they should have been offered a nehru..the political equivalent of the Gandhian cheek
Eye for an eye, would leave us all blind. It is quite easy to destroy something but to create is hard.
This man here, an aide-de-camp for the assasination still justifies his intentions.
Would he or Godsey had the guts to come out in public and involve in similiar revolutionary measures against the ruling british empire?
Were they able to Launch any movement on a nation-wide scale? Did they win the hearts of lakhs of people?
All they did was to herald the arrival of bloodshed and terrorism in an independent India.
Gandhi, did not utter 'Ram' at the moment of death. True. This man is quick to point out that fact.
He failed to mention or he deliberately forgot that Gandhi's Hands were Raised in a posture of Blessing, showing Forgiveness towards his Assasin, when he fell to the ground.
This alone is enough to show that, he was a true 'MAHATMA'. Someone said a wise quote about Gandhi that, "Generations to come, would scarce believe that such a man in flesh and blood walked this earth".

ReplyDelete@srividya: The polically correct way to deal with a politically sensitive post is to be apolitical.
