~ Benny : Former friend but now a land-lord to most of the persons in the above list
Its a very touching story that depicts the hardships that these New Yorkers go through during the span of a year and how their lives change. Its about troubles, pain, worries, friendship, love, togetherness .... and its got some amazing music!
Here's the opening song Seasons of Love:
525,600 minutes, 525,000 moments so dear.
525,600 minutes - how do you measure, measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee.
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.
In 525,600 minutes - how do you measure a year in the life?
How about love? Measure in love. Seasons of love.
525,600 minutes! 525,000 journeys to plan.
525,600 minutes - how do you measure the life of a woman or man?
In truths that she learned, or in times that he cried.
In bridges he burned, or the way that she died.
It’s time now to sing out, though the story never ends
Let's celebrate remember a year in the life of friends.
Remember the love! Measure in love. Seasons of love!
PS: If you don't like musicals, don't watch this movie... almost every conversation is a song :)

ReplyDeletetime's up, ma'm.
ReplyDeleteI asked first! [;)]
Whatever happened to "Ladies first"! Sigh!
ReplyDeleteI measure a year atleast by:
*) Punches : in the air in exultance.
*) Skipped heart beats: in anticipation or pleasant surprises.
*) The time spent "in the zone".
*) The smiles, the tears, the seasons, the wins, the losses, the fears confronted.
The 525,600 minutes is just a cold statistic from a scientist!!
There ... now could you both please do the honours? [:)]
@ prashanth - brilliant! thanks for taking the lead on this. my list... soon... soon
ReplyDelete@sri: [shaking head ] Still YOE YOT! [:p]
ReplyDelete@ prashanth - Long overdue, here's my list
ReplyDelete~ the times, through difficulties and frustrations - when endurance pays off
~ the little things, though may seem miniscule to others... that put a smile on my face and in my heart
~ times that I think I've made others miss a heartbeat or two :)
~ those coffees/ice-creams/lunches/dinners
~ journeys that make me realise how much there is left to be done
~ times that I know I've made someone feel better, when all that they needed was someone to hear them out
~ moments when not much is said... but so much is understood
wow I can just go on and on... like its said in 'The Mask' Somebody Stop Me!
:)
