Mad world
All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow
And I find it kinda funny
I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very mad world mad world
Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me
And I find it kinda funny
I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very mad world ... mad world
Enlarging your world
Mad world
This is such a sad song.... yet so lovely, keep wanting to listen to it over and over again. What a voice! - Gary Jules
The song features in the movie Donnie Darko - which I have heard so much about but am yet to watch.
Other movies on my 'to watch' list are:
~ Into the Wild
~ Thank you for smoking
~ High and Low
~ Red Beard
Watched:
~ Babel - Sad, Scary, hard hitting. [Do not watch when you are feeling low/depressed]
~ Before Sunset - very sweet! may be I should've watched Before Sunrise first... anyway! :)
~ The Prestige - Brilliant is not the word for it. a must watch and definitely more than once!
any interesting movies that I'm missing out on? Do let me know

Evam presents ~ Five Point Someone
Evam's 200th show, staged at Rangashankara.
EVAM (according to me) = laughter + high energy + laughter + forgetting your self + laughter + having a good time + more laughter
The show started off with Sunil (the one on the left below) from Evam talking about why he and Karthik (on the right) started Evam, giving up their bank jobs ~ We all dream and we have just one life to try and make it come true. This is our dream, to bust everyone's stress :)
"go ahead play big, live your dreams , give it a shot - your dream is what defines u" is what he has to say.
The play in all is a laugh riot. The actors playing Alok, Hari, Ryan, the profs and Neha have captured the essence of the characters beautifully. Be it Alok's sighs/fuss/tensions, Hari's 'oooh Neha" or Ryan's 'I give a damn' attitude - just perfect. Not to forget - the guy who played the author, his voice modulation, facial expressions were just too good.
Nikhila Kesavan has done an amazing job with the direction.
Kudos to the entire team.
